From Chelmondiston down the hill of the lane to the carpark for a real treat. This is Pin Mill, looking at the River there is a lovely walk through National Trust woodland on top of the cliffs, better views of the river when there are no leaves on the trees, or turn left and walk along the River Orwell to Woolverstone.

Or just spend an hour around the pub The Butt and Oyster

Have recovered my tracks this week The Butt & Oyster Pub at Pin Mill [Chelmondiston] can serve drinks to small boat owners through a hatch on a high tide such as here, this is an idyllic spot but stay clear at weekends in the Summer as it can get extremely busy

If you walk through The National Trust Woodlands to the right of The Butt & Oyster pub you will be rewarded with some fantastic views especially when the leaves have fallen from the trees. This leads up and down to a few hills to Clamp House at Buttemans Bay, here there is a clearing of lovely views of The River Orwell, if you pick a fine day you will not be disappointed ]
