RE: Suffolk connections

Born in Sudbury, moved to Newmans Green, a hamlet outside of Sudbury after getting married. Moved to Lowestoft a few years later played a lot of football in the area (Lowestoft Town, Ashlea), then emigrated to Canada where I have lived for 28 years, just outside of Toronto

Born in Ohio. Lived in Michgan and Indiana, back to Ohio and then in Michigan.....but I live in Suffolk and Essex every day via the internet.

My WILDEN family came from Stowupland and Stowmarket. My gfather, Frank WILDEN, came to Ohio in 1909. I'm sure his 6 brothers and families are spread out over several counties.

The BEAUMONT family came from Bures Hamlet/Wormingford on to One House, Stowmarket and Bury St. Edmond.

Visited Suffolk in 2000 and loved it.

Happy hunting, Jean

Welcome Jean. I have a friend ( Internet ) who is a Suffolk man and lives in Michigan, by the name of Phil Shimmons. Internet certainly shrinks the World

Suffolk born & bred. I grew up in Great Bealings, married a Kesgrave girl (24 years and counting) and now live in east Ipswich.

I can count at least five generations of my ancestors buried in Gt. Bealings churchyard, a little family history research has also revealed connections to Middleton, Sotherton, Blyford, Wilby and Laxfield.

So I'm from good Suffolk stock, must be why I'm sometimes such an 'awkward owd b**ger'!
