There is some connection with this painting and Queen Victoria hanging in Ipswich Town Hall where this is one of only a very few early examples known

The statue of Cardinal Wolsey is a credit to its sculptor, 'he' is looking down St Peters Street where possibly one or more buildings were around in his period including that lovely half timbered building behind his bust on the corner of Silent Street, Wolsey of course held more power in medieval England than anyone else apart from Henry VIII when he was in favour with the King
