BCWM 4th May 1982 this accident happened close to the village of Weston, near Beccles, SFK, I was on my way to Beccles the following morning not knowing anything about this F16 Aggressor aircraft crashing into the tree. I was flagged down by the police as there were lots of Base personnel on the road and in the nearby field clearing and guarding the wreckage, the road had been cleared by this time, it makes you wonder sometimes how lucky/unlucky you can be at times

I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall from Jan 1968 till Jan 1971, was with the 627th MAC and worked in passenger service. Would be nice to talk to others that were there during this period and see pics of the base at that time. I lived off base at Birch Grove Caravan park and had a son born at Lakenheath.
