Beauty Spots

Alton Water Reservoir

If you drive to Lemons Hill Bridge and park in either of two carparks and take the walk to the west, there is a 3-4 mile circular walk through a nature reserve with many splendid views of this part of the Reservoir. Plenty of bird life here too

The Mill River Kesgrave/Foxhall

This little beauty spot starts from the dip near Foxhall Speedway Stadium and ends up in The River Deben at Kirton Creek, you can't walk that far because of private land. But if you find the Foxhall BUPA hospital and to the right of its entrance is this little gem.

Peace personified with a lovely boardwalk, if it is in the wet season that you visit you may need some sturdy boots as it gets rather muddy in places

Redgrave & Lopham Fen

There are some nice walks to be had on this reserve, the star attraction here is the Water Raft Spider, I have only seen these on TV and not on the reserve

Dunwich

In the woodland area adjacent to the Priory Ruins can be found Snowdrops galore from mid January to mid February, a wonderful show, also check out the Dunwich Rose in the summer!

We spent an enjoyable two hours in Butley Corner Car Park taking in Daisy's Walk, hardly a soul aroundsmile The boardwalk was closed due to a fallen tree.
