Beauty Spots

Flatford Barn as seen from the Essex side of the River Stour, note the electric boat, no pollution wanted here thank you. What a lovely spot try to avoid a weekend though as it does tend to get rather busy at times

If anyone fancies a tour of Woodbridge, start by parking your car at the Railway Station [or get off the bus there] and you will find this board by the Pedestrian Crossing or just pop into the Tourist Information Centre [TIC] for a free map. The tour of the town or the river frontage circular walk are both worth it

The area known as Neddham Lake is quite beautiful, but can get very crowded at times, the lake [s] were created when the A14 was being built in the 1970's for extraction of sand and gravel. They themselves run parallel to The River Gipping. The walk around the main lake at Needham is flat and quite level and has seats placed at intervals.

If you visit Holbrook Bay [Lower Holbrook Car Park] and walk the short distance to Alton Wharf there is a footpath that takes you up and over a hilly field to the left of the bund, once at the top there are some beautiful views over the River Stour, The Creek and towards the Holbrook School
