Saturday 2nd July 2011 Ipswich Borough Council laid on a Proms in the Park theme headed by Katherine Jenkins and supported by special guest Wynne Evans [The Go Compare] singer on TV Adverts complete with the National Symphony Orchestra under the musical directorship of Anthony Inglis

Foz [Stephen] Foster [BBC Radio Suffolk presenter] was compere for the evening and did a splendid job as usual

I have taken a lot of photos of the event and will post them here when time permits

It was a great evening, especially when 'Land of Hope & Glory' & 'Jerusalem' was sung with such gusto, but Katherine did her 'topper' of the Welsh National Anthem in Welsh without any accompaniment, that was truly BOOTIFUL  biggrin

I overheard one lady remark to her husband 'Since when have you taken an interest in ladies dresses before now' !!!!!!biggrin
