The Canada Gosling is not the most beautiful of juveniles but you have to admire the way the parents protect these 'babes' they are often to be found in a creche and the adults surround them thus minimising attack from predators

I'm not 100% positive whether this is a juvenile Long Tailed Tit, it was certainly lacking some of the pink colour they are renowned for and it didn't seem as agile as an adult, these birds are quite difficult to photograph as they flit around continuously

I have seen as many as 8 Cygnets survive a brood from Swans laying their eggs in the Spring, I have seen them disappear so that there is only one Cygnet left, this family lost one the day before
