Probably one of the best anglers around, watch it dive from a sitting position lose sight of it for many seconds and then the Great Crested Grebe will turn up on the surface again many yards away often with a small fish in its mouth. In the early spring the courtship displays are fantastic to watch with dancing in mirror image, offerings of nesting materials and of course seeing the young fledglings on the Grebes back, all part of the wonderment of nature
