Waxwings


It is amazing how these birds seem to know when to leave Scandinavia and come to Britain in October 2010 thousands visited our coast and came in their hundreds to Suffolk knowing that cold weather was on the way. These birds appear at a distance as if they are Starlings and their wing formation in flight is very similar but close up there is no comparison. A very attractive bird to look at, notice there often is one single picket bird to tell the others where the food is, all clever stuff
