This is a lovely building both externally and internally and it is interesting to see two Grade I Listed Buildings standing side by side, separated by only a few feet although time separation is some 275 years, the other building is of course the Willis building
This Norman Foster building is without doubt worthy of a Grade I listed status, I have visited within on several occasions and looked from the Roof Garden on the surrounding area, the interior looks as good as the exterior.
The reflections in the darkened glass panels can reveal some unusual images, the floor plan still retains a swimming pool, the escalators are meant to resemble a waterfall, the atmosphere is very airy and gives a feel of relaxation, click on any thumbnail for a larger picture
I have always known this excellent building as Oak House which runs adjacent to a lane leading [Oak Lane] to St Mary-le-Tower Church. This once was a pub called The Royal Oak and ceased to be so in c1879-80
