I am a lover of birds and very fortunate to be 'on the doorstep' of the RSPB Flagship Bird Reserve here at Minsmere, I have never been here and found it a disappointment in faact I have never failed to see less than 50 species of bird in any full day on the reserve be it from all points of the site

Here are some of my pictures from the Reserve itself

............and masses of birds here many to be seen and snapped at Minsmere, I am fairly knowledgeable but am definitely not an expert as far as ornithology is concerned  http://suffolk.activeboard.com/index.spark?aBID=119775&p=3&topicID=15928696

Dunwich Heath to Dunwich car park

There are two ways of approaching this walk and that is to park at Dunwich car park and walk through the woods and on the heath and return via the beach or vice versa, but the beach is often walking on shingle all the way and it can be a strain on the legs.

If you do go on the heath [There is a large National Trust car park here with cafe and toilets] look out for the Dartford Warbler, these are [usually] only found in Suffolk in this area, there is also a Coast watch project in a building housing a telescope/binos to report sightings of Whales, Dolphins, Seals and the like

More on Dunwich here
http://suffolk.activeboard.com/index.spark?aBID=119775&p=3&topicID=15691585

and here
http://suffolk.activeboard.com/index.spark?aBID=119775&p=3&topicID=22682468

If you time your visit to Dunwich Heath at the end of July through August you will see The Heath 'aflame' with these colours

The Coastguard Cottages will one day have to be abandoned as the crumbling cliffs succumb to the sea

............and the view along the beach North from below the Coastguard Cottage Cliffs with the mist rolling in
