RE: Harwich Haven

On Thursday I travelled the 60 miles round trip to get to the other side of the shipping channel in The Stour Estuary, the weather was perfect, here is the Dana Sirena Ferry leaving Parkeston [Harwich] for Esjberg, Denmark.

Felixstowe Port is beyond the Ferry, the third photo shows these pictures being taken from The Ha'penny Pier, that was the toll charge in Victorian days, there is no charge today

Stena Partner having just rounded the point, this view is from the seafront at Harwich, I normally view all this shipping from near to the RADAR Tower on the left of the picture

Two for the price of one! Stena Partner passing Tor Britannia on berth at FXT whilst the Stena Ferry heads towards Parkestone Quay

MV Mare having finished unloading/loading and leaving the Stour Estuary, this is one of the small feeder vessels that ply containers between Northern European Ports for various reasons, only one crane was needed on this vessel, and here the crane arm is being raised, the second phot shows the Mare leaving FXT, I took these pictures last Thursday
