The bridge section on the Tor Line Ferry 'Dana Sirena'
.........some of the passengers on board
.........the survey tug 'Janette B' passing between her and the Fort buoy
.........and Dana Sirena having to wait for the worlds largest container ship to be turned in the channel, whilst a Pilot Launch [The Haven Harrier] zips past in the foreground
The biggest container ship in the world arrived at Trinity Terminal Felixstowe yesterday, all 398 metres of her carrying over 170000 Tons but with only about half the number of 'boxes' on board.
Here she is entering the Haven area with two tugs front and aft, she dwarfed anything nearby!
This is the survey tug Janette B she is doing some survey work on the shipping lane in Harwich Haven, I know a couple of the flags, 'dragging an anchor' and 'you may pass' anyone know the others, I see there is a Red Ensign there too
A close up of the tyres on the Svitzer Intrepid Tug working out of Felixstowe, the tyres are there to protect the 'skin' of the hulls of the container ships when being nudged into port
