Opposite Trinity Quay at Felixstowe is Parkestone this is the cruise liner berth, this thirteen decker the Celebrity Constellation was a couple of hours sailing time outward bound to the Baltic

I have often looked at River Buoys and wondered how they were maintained, last Wednesday I was invited into The HHA's Buoy Workshop, a fascinating insight into how these are collected from the sea or river every four years, shot blasted and repainted with several coats of paint before being required again.

These guys make it look easy but this is dangerous work especially in a heavy sea, this is one of the Starboard Buoys at Fagbury off Felixstowe

MSC Kalina its breed of vessel is the second longest in the world, seen here at Felixstowe a week ago, 366.5 metres in length
