Leonard Cheshire VC and his wife Sue Ryder are both buried in the graveyard at Cavendish Church, quite remarkable people and quite remarkable stories

Lord Horatio Nelson's mother Catherine Suckling was born in the former rectory on 9 May 1725 at Barsham, the house is not accessible but the nearby church is, which records the event

Ms Suckling went on to marry the Rev Edmund Nelson at Beccles church in 1749
