The Harwich Haven Authority Report for 2008/09 has just been published on the web, I was fortunate enough to spend 3.5 hours on the water and in their Operations Room photographing my journey through the Stour Estuary on one of their fast Pilot Boats in exchange for the photographs.
The URL is here http://www.hha.co.uk/ and you will need to click on to a .pdf file marked HHA Performance Report 2008/09 to view the photos, the photos themselves are not as sharp as in their actual brochure report, the only photos that are not mine are the Wind Turbines on Gunfleet Sands nor the Aerial Shots of Felixstowe Port.
Within view of the Harbour Entrance at Lowestoft we were able to see Lydia Eva the recently refurbished [last] steam Herring Boat http://www.lydiaeva.org.uk/lydia_eva.htm she was certainly making a lot of steam
I have seen this MTB quite a bit over the years, she is now based in Lowestoft, she became the temporary flagship of the Admiral of the Fleet at the evacuation of Dunkirk, I found this negative in a shoe box taken when she was based in the Wet Dock in Ipswich a few years ago
