Just inside the Suffolk border near to Santon Downham is one of the prettiest 'drives' through woodland you can get in the county, this is called The Avenue of Limes some are more mature than others, these stretch for one mile. This in no way compares with The Avenue of Limes [3 miles] in Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire. From here you then pass into parts of Thetford Forest

If ever you visit Santon Downham [between Thetford and Brandon] pop into The Forestry Commission Centre, there is a good exhibition within, the carpark is right next to the building
