Barsham on the border with Norfolk with the River Waveney separating both counties. The Church of Holy Trinity is a fine example with a round tower and thatched Nave roof. Latticing on the Chancel outside wall needs to be seen to be admired for the skill performed by the medieval stonemasons.
There is a connection to Admiral Lord Nelson here, his father Edmund was curate at the church and his mother Catherine Suckling was born at the nearby rectory
Last week is only the second time I have visited Barsham but the sun was shining wall to wall again and it definitely shows off the lattice work to the chancel end of Holy Trinity
