RE: Changes in the Coastline

Yesterday on the South Beach at Felixstowe I came across a wonderous sight! The beach has been replenished with Norwegian Rock and dredged sand, the beach is now level with the promenade and extends outwards doubling the size of the Prom, I wonder if the sand will stay in situ when the Autumn Gales bear down on us. I must say a job well done here

This picture was taken just a few short years ago from the same place as above it shows the shingle still in place complete with the groynes, the shingle of course was completely washed away and undermined the promenade causing this to collapse. Compare this pic to the last one

Pakefield Cliffs are under constant attack from the sea and wind, I love this stretch of coast this is looking towards Lowestoft

This part of Felixstowe Ferry is very vulnerable, this area [view] is now full of Norwegian boulders but I do feel that this area will be under water if a more permament wall is not put up in the next few years
