The section of coast between Walberswick and Dunwich is looking extremely vulnerable especially with the Autumn now upon us, whole swathes of marshland is under threat and it will remain to be seen if the Autumn/Winter/Spring of 2009/10 will see the beach completely washed away
At East Lane near Bawdsey the Environment Agency probably saved this stretch of coast and the Martello Tower just in time, I called here last Thursday and a good job has been done, will it last the ravages of the waves though
On the beach at Dunwich yesterday it was blowy and cold, the seaspay was being whipped up, there was debris on the beach and much of the shingle bank has been washed away in the recent gales
