RE: Birds of Suffolk

Lucky you Amanda, I might if I am lucky get a pair through once a year but if I want to see Goldfinches I go into the field across from my house and watch them on the Thistle's in the autumn, you get flocks of them then.

We have to ensure that there's plenty of Black Niger Seed in their bird feeders to guarantee we see them! I think we actually spend more on bird food than we do on dog food (and we have two retired greyhounds)!

We have had Goldfinches in the garden all winter, but they seem to have vanished in the past few weeks, niger seed as Amanda says is a must. We have the odd pair of Greenfinches in occasionally replenishing with food and water.smile

Stunning shot of that Goldfinch John, think I will have to change my Camera again, mind, you need a good eye to get a focus like that, well done.
