Anyone with a connection to the village?

The Church at Barham has a sculpture to Madonna and Child by Henry Moore

...and a fine South Tower which also serves as a porch

how do you pronounce the name of this village. Years ago in the 50/60s I visited the Sorrel Horse there with my father and grand father. It was pronounced diffently to what most people say now. it was pronounced as baram  not   bar ham.

I think you will find that those 'old timers' with a 'real Suffolk' accent will pronounce this as Barram whom people I know pronounce it Barrum but then we are 'furreigners'smile

My wifes Grandfather (Aldham) would not call High-am [Higham] like I would pronounce it he would say Higgum Boi !
