The Church here is dedicated to St Mary, there is a brass dedicated to Mary Everton whom died in 1608 at the ripe old age of 103 years. The village is approximately one mile long and there is one pub The Punchbowl

My mother was born in Battisford,and her mother as well.The family maiden name is Gostling,and i would love to hear from anyone.

Am a Gostling and my family came from Suffolk/Norfolk a long time ago, most go by the name William and also Dover, I myself was born in Essex had family from Middlesex has it was called then around the South Mimms.
would love to give names if you need any...!

My grandmother was Caroline Ann Gostling,1874-1940,daughter of Henry Gostling and Mary Ann (Prentice).Her siblings were Ellen,Elizabeth,& William.
Caroline was married to Ernest Isaac Turner,both are buried in Battisford Churchyard.
