Must get back here again one day soon, especially The Rare Breeds Farm which is just great for the young ones. Nearby Baylham Mill dates from the 16c and sits on The River Gipping, here the wooden lock gates are the only ones intact on the entire length of the Gipping where up to 30 barges would carry their wares to/from Stowmarket

John did meet the guy that owns the Centre. Dick Storer ( Wing Commander )
First manager of the Red Arrows, Vulcan pilot who holds the record for the fastest Scramble in the days of the 4 minute warning when a small number would sit at the ready waiting to take off, Military Attache. fascinating character.
To talk to him you would never ever guess.

In your list of Vicars at Baylham is ???? ???? 19??-19??

He liked a tipple now and again and had on occassions been found asleep in a ditch

I once met him in the Shepherd and Dog at Hollesley and remember asking him " Hello Vicar have you moved parishes?"  he replied  " Every pub is in my parish"

I had spoken to him on many occassions when I was involved with the Ipswich Young farmers Club
