We revisited here again today, basically to see how many Avocets were breeding on the Flash, we saw at least two dozen and this is borne out by Kieron of the local RSPB, we also walked to the point to have a look at Havergate Island at the southern end, I took several photos which I will download later.
Can anyone tell me what the WWII fortifications are on the marshes at Boyton, are they ex tank, anti aircraft or searchlight posts? I'm also interested in the wooden cross with permament flowers on the edge of the Butley River, is this the result of someone dying here from a tragic accident?
