This signpost intrigued me yesterday, not because of Pettistree etc but because of the nameplace Loudham, I hadn't heard of this before but had been down this narrow road to Ashe Abbey before, some 10 years ago. Upon inspection of the Ordnance Survey map the only thing that exists now is Loudham Hall, but delving further there was once a parish of Loudham, the Church was within the grounds of The Hall, this was/is part of the parish of Pettistree if anyone has any further details please let us know
