Laxfield

There are a few notable old buildings in this delightful village, is there anyone with connections?

Laxfield Church. The final resting place of one William Dowsing the iconoclast who destroyed so many features within our churches in the 1640's including Laxfield. There is still much to admire here though, the 100' tower, the 36' wide nave, huge steps to the seven sacrament font and box pews 'for boys and young men

It has often been said that one William Dowsing [Puritan] was associated with the village, but this has been disputed, he did however have a very chequered life, more details here
