Some of my notes from myvisit here on 8th May 1999 and from the leaflet available within the Church of St Peter

  • 1086 Domesday Survey shows a place of worship at Hepworth but the present church dates from the 14/15c
  • Truncated tower in which part could be 14c
  • Double Hammer Beam roof
  • Sanctuary Knocker on the church door
  • 14c Font Cover
  • 8 of the Choir Stalls have 15c bench ends
  • Five bells, the tenor is the oldest dating from c1470
  • The Church registers date from 1688
  • A list of Rectors date from the Domesday survey
