In 1584 Sir Charles Framlingham of Crow Hall became The High Sheriff of Suffolk

One of my many visits to Debenham over the decades was recorded on 23rd May 2000, here are some notes of St Mary Magdalene Church

  • Height of nave roof = 50'
  • Width with nave and aisles = 60'
  • 15c font
  • Early Jacobean pulpit
  • The tower holds eight bells reputedly the finest in the County of Suffolk
  • 14c Porch and Priests room above
