Do I recall taking this pic, I was lucky to get the sun shining just right to give the glow, then it tipped it down

They ought to call that Church Tower the leaning tower of Groton John, from your photograph it looks like either the Church is leaning to the right or the houses on the right are out of kilter. (Must stop taking a tot, trouble is old habits die hard)biggrin

One of the 'Founding Fathers' of New England USA John Winthrop emigrated from here in 1630, John himself became The Governor of Massachusetts from 1630-49. There is a strong connection in America with this part of Suffolk.

In the churchyard above can be found the oldest recorded gravestone in Suffolk, a white marble altar tomb dated 1598 in memory of one Lewis Kedbye
