RE: Remote Beauty Spots

I must say I feel sorry for the fishermen who fish that lake with all those Cormorant's roosting there with their breakfast right under their roost. Notice how their Guano has killed that tree and a few to the right of the one in your picture too. I saw a large Terrapin in that lake about four years ago so I suppose they take their toll on the fish as well. I have also watched a Hobby using that same tree like a flycatcher diving out the tree and catching a dragonfly then back to the tree to eat it, then a repeat Preformance.

Newbourne Springs

An early Spring day is my favourite for this idyllic place, before the leaves are on the trees, the springs flowing well, the marsh plants about to break open, the sheep munching at the tough grass. We have seen a pair of foxes here. Listen to the beautiful bird song you might be lucky and not meet another soul!smile

The Orwell Country Park is not unknown but remote from Ipswich, what a gem, I'm just so pleased this is on my doorstep and not someone elses. I cannot get enough of the views, this River Orwell was voted the Second Best by yachtsmen in England, the River Dart was voted the best, I can't argue with their assessments but if you have never been its time you did so.

Bluebells abound in the spring, dogs love the walks, gnarled Oak Trees in a few places, burds galore, overlooking Freston up to and beyond the Orwell Bridge, the views from the cliffs or from the shore are IMO fantasticsmile

Braziers Wood, Gainsborough Estate, Ipswich

Lovely walks through the woods to the stream and on to a spot overlooking the Orwell Bridge
