Chantry Mansion on Chantry Park looks resplendent in its surroundings, the Borough Council do a great job in the maintenance of the park which has a small lake and gardens but a very large public access area. The house is part of The sue Ryder Foundation

Fore Street in Ipswich has a wealth of old buildings and some that I recall readily from 50 years ago



Anyone know if the Meremaid [Mermaid] was once a pub, I found this carving on a building in Fore Street



The Martin and Newby Store for ironmongery once stocked everything that the DIY enthusiast wanted



....and of course the old Sneezum building that utilised every inch of available land!

The sailing vessel Picton Castle is in port at the moment, I captured this late afternoon yesterday





....and Trevor Watts kindly allowed me permission to show his picture earlier yesterday morning where the Picton Castle was drying out her sails
