Ravenswood, Ipswich one of the newer deelopments on the former Ipswich Airport site, some of the houses ike these ones look fine, but there are others that look likea complete eyesore, however they passed the planning stage beats me

on th tv news this morning they mentioned a flood barrage scheme for Ipswich costing some £50,000000. the scene shown was down at Cliff Quay but the interview was by the new Bobby Robson Bridge. Im nevcer really sure where the Orwell finishes and the Gipping starts. I have always believed it was at the bridge by the Sainsburys garage.

No one knows for sure Tarkey, logically the fresh water of the Gipping discharges into the estuary water just a few yards North of the London Road [Sainsbury] Bridge. Other people think the cut off from the Orwell/Gipping is at Stoke Bridge others say the Bridge on Princes Street by the Rail Station
