I was sad to see them tear down the pipers vale swimming pool. Spent all my time there in the summers of 1960's.

Yep. I used to play on that tip in the 60's. Nothing on my feet in the summer!
It was a 'dry' tip. So no food stuffs etc. Lot's of fun stuff for kids. I once found a complete set of photos from the Dr. Who series. Back then I just tossed them. Probably worth a bunch now...

Yes I think a lot of people can equate to Pipers Vale in one way or another, there was a great outdoor swimming pool there that we used to take our girls to and the 'park' seemed to be more managed then than now, the area is still nice, I use it a lot for bird watching especially the foreshore
