I took this photo at Ipswich Airport maybe late 80s early 90's, it features a DC3 Dakota

I watched this come in. It was used by a German Film Company and came over my area with fake smoke pouring from one engine. It was being used in a movie. It landed at Ipswich Aiport on the Saturday night and the film crew went home, never to return. Eventually after running out of CAA certification it weas given to the museum at Parham. One of the wing leading edges was canabalised and given to the BBMF when they damaged their Dakota in a Hangar Door Accident and it flew over Buckingham Palace with a black part to its wing. The rest of the DC3 has now moved on but I'm not sure where

Marmite this one, you either love it or loathe it, I like it as it blends in with the more modern surroundings of the area and has enhanced and rejuvenated the old Docklands. This is of course the new University College of Suffolk
