Felixstowe

From Felixstowe Ferry to Landguard Point (Suffolks most southerly point) stretches for almost five miles and is known as the Colneis Peninsular, from the North by the River Deben estuary to the south The River Orwell estuary.

Much will be shown about the Port which is the largest in the UK and the fourth largest in Europe, the views above the cliff out to sea or from promenade level are quite spectacular.

Huge container and super cruise ships ply the waters of Harwich Haven and the best viewing point is at Landguard which boasts a nearby fort and just where the last invasion on British soil occurred and repelled

RE: Felixstowe and Ferry

whilst at The Ferry yesterday we spotted a seal on a sandbank it was there for several hours sunning itself, whilst we have seen the occasional seal bobbing along we have never seen one take the 'liberty boat' before.

We also saw a couple of Black Redstarts among the Norwegian Rocks by the Golf Course Martello Tower
