At Hengrave Hall there is a window that can only be described as wonderful, even Pevsner used this to illustrate the cover of his historic buildings book.

The Hall and the Church of St John are both Grade I listed buildings, last week and a few months back there is no access to the grounds with the gates being shut, anyone know the latest position ?

In1650 Sir William Hervey of Hengrave was appointed High Sheriff of Suffolk

.....and in 1850 Sir Thomas Rokewode-Gage 8th Baronet of Hengrave Hall was appointed High Sheriff of Suffolk
