The plaque on the top of this gatehouse shows 1490 just by the water splash in Kersey 'Ye Olde River House'

This is why I always regard Kersey as Suffolk's best village, no yellow lines, OK I know one day they will do for Kersey what they did for Lavenham and get rid of all the unsightly overhead wires, but that doesn't detract from Kersey's pure beautiful location and this was taken just 3 days ago in the height of the non touristy season
