The Watersplash, I did hear years ago that the house in the background was once owned by The Poet Laureat Sir John Betjeman, anyone confirm this?

I still reckon that Kersey is Suffolk's most prettiest village, it is a pity that the telegraph wires are not hidden and that somehow cars be parked somewhere more discreetly, the reflection of the Church of St Mary looks absolutely beautiful on a day like this one

Looking at the brickwork on River House, but with the date as shown in modern writing, it would appear as if the frontage of this building at Kersey is just about original and built a year before Henry VIII was born, I wonder if the door is original too?
