I just love this property, the roof, the steps, the pargetting, the colour but probably more so because of the wooden beam that straddles the length of this house, I'm not sure whether it is one tree length or not, if it is it must rival the the length of the beam in the cottages at the lower end of Grimwade Street, Ipswich, which is about 60' in length [I measured this today by paces]
Sparrowes House in The Buttermarket Ipswich, more commonly known as the Ancient House, this house was built before the continent of Australia was founded as shown on the front of the building with only four continents depicted. The fireplaces within the building [it is a shop] are just magnificent
The Unitarian Meeting House is to be found in Ipswich, it has unusual features within and of couse the outside looks magnificent date 1699 which makes this Unitarian Meeting House the second oldest in the country
Although Victorian in design The Old Customs House on Ipswich Waterfront is very photogenic, the Victorians built some quite awful looking 'industrial' buildings but they also built some very interesting ones as is the case here
