Thorpeness in the parish of Aldringham boasts this 'House in the Clouds' building which once housed a water tank supplying the area, now used as holiday accommodation

Swan Cottage at Boxford looks lovely



I really do not like saying 'Lovejoy Country' but this is what people refer to Long Melford and if The Swan Hotel at Lavenham is its pride and joy then Long Melford's Bull must be its own within the High Street

When you look at these old buildings just think that some of the wood within might be well over 1000 years old, I snapped this one yesterday, probably built in the 16c, still doing its job today [just!] but the oak tree may well have been 500 years old when it was cut down!
