What a beautiful village where the church is often used on Christmas Cards and the buildings such as this one would look equally at home on a Chocolate Box front

Lovely picture that John just as it was meant to look with the sun on it and no traffic. Although the people of long ago when that house was built never had the luxuries that we take for granted these days I often wonder who was the better off. Us with our TV's, Radio's, Mobile Phones, Cars, Washing  Machines, and every Tom, Dick and Harry with their hand in your pocket. Or, the people of long ago with their peace and quiet, bird song, meadow's full of wild flowers and butterflies as nature intended and what you earned through your hard labour was your own though it was not very much, I know what my preference would be.
