Depending on your point of view but mine is that the Alpine Region affords some spectacular scenery here are some of my pics often taken with a compact [early] digicam so some of the quality is not good

In Switzerland again this time ascending back down to Beckenried from up in the snow fields, the view is overlooking Lake Lucerne where our hotel in Gersau overlooked beckenried, the mountain is Rigi at 6000'

This is a view en route from The Brenner Pass, Europes highest main road at about 5000' you could argue that you were coming into land via an aircraft but this is a view from the road!
