Thomas More, Catherine Howard, Anne Boleyn all entered 'The Tower' via Traitors Gate to be executed, imagine seeing the heads on pikes on London Bridge before being 'taken down' [TG in the centre of the photo on the waterline] Probably their execution was a lot quicker than Captain Kidd and many others that were chained to posts in the river or to the river walls and just to make sure they drowned, three tides would pass before their bodies were removed, just in case the first or second tide didn't get 'em as was the case with Cap'n Kidd!!
