yes John it was. A long while ago, when the train passed within a few yards of the site going to Aldeburgh Station. It was great fun fishing in the Dykes etc.

We used to spend the whole of the Summer holiday down there, whilst my father would travel to Ipswich daily when He worked at Bristos garage.

Good clean fun. How I've changed, mind you dykes still amuse me but in a different sort of way

I do recall a work colleague telling me that during the 1953 he and his brothers had to be rescued from the upstairs window of their house where the new Dock Police HQ is situated, that was from rowing boat, many of course didn't make it..............
