A parish with a church called St Mary, so isolated that I had completely forgot about it, although I have been here before, it seems miles from anywhere yet it is less than a handful of miles from Ipswich Town Centre.

The Church has a farm keeping it company called Rise Hall, I took this walk today from nearby Whitton & Thurleston through undulating countryside via farm tracks. I came across a small brook, low and behold a Little Egret was looking for food and flew to the centre of a nearby field when I disturbed it.

There are some splendid views marred by the prescence of The Power Pylons that feed electricity from Sizewell ino the National Grid, photos to follow........
