Started off at Kesgrave and visited all these places Boxford, a tour around the village and church, Newton Green, Sudbury parking at the Kingfisher Leisure Complex, walking by the River Stour along the old railway line to Ballingdon Bridge, through the meadows and Commonland to the Mill Hotel and on to the Melford Road. Walking back to the Car Park through the town, taking in the three churches.
Then to Rodbridge Picnic Place for lunch, on to Long Melford, walked the entire length of the High Street. Then to Cavendish for a photoshoot and Clare Country Park, climbed the Castle Mound, walked to the old Railway Station, through the town up to the Church, icecream after walking along the river.
Then to Hundon, walked around the village, into Stradishall Village and then on to HMP Highpoint to see my old RAF station at Stradishall, not how I remembered it!!! On to Cowlinge then back home via BSE.
Two days later start from Kesgrave, go to Ram Meadow Car Park in Bury, and the Church of St Mary, up Churchgate Street into town, back to car.
A quick detour en route into Newmarket sees me at The Packhorse Bridge in Moulton past all those millionaires studs and on to Newmarket Downs for a picnic. Off then to The July Racecourse [my favourite course] then to The Rowley Mile Course, into NM town and walk up to the Clock Tower, past the Rutland Arms to The Kings Palace, All Saints Church and The National Horse Racing Museum.
Through the country lanes to Woodditton and Kirtling [Cambridgeshire] then back into Suffolk at Great Bradley, Little Bradley, West Wratting and Haverhill.
Finally pausing for breath at Stoke-by-Clare and then a leisurely ride back home via all those lovely River Stour towns and villages, and all in my 70th year...
