I can see from many overseas visitors that some of you are missing your Suffolk roots, I'm sure we have every sympathy towards you, perhaps you can share what you miss most. The wide skies, the heathland, the coast, the people or the pub well if its any of these tell us about it.....
I miss the beautiful countryside and the people, they are so friendly and hospitable. I particularly miss all the old family friends I had there and lost touch with years ago. Suffolk and particularly Great Barton, Bury St. Edmunds, Buxhall, and Culford are all places which are close to my heart, and I wish I could return again, I last saw these places in 1980
hi my name is Neville Perry. After liveing in Australia for the last 42 years i must admit that i stiil miss Suffolk very much, the green leavey lanes the smell of farm yards the harvest in the summer, but one thing is for sure i will never miss the very cold winters
I miss having a great meal at the country pubs. I have a few favorites that I try to visit whenever I get to visit my brother in Ipswich.
I also miss Felixstowe the way it used to be when I was a child. I have pictures of the gardens along the Prom, and I'm glad my daughters were able to visit Felixstowe when it was "pretty and attractive". I hope I don't offend anyone who lives in Felixstowe, particularly my cousin and his wife, but I think they will know what I mean.
