I took this photo from Longstrops, Kesgrave today looking towards the USAF Radar/Radio base that was once Top Secret, I believe there was once a link here to Orfordness Radar/Radio antennae where Radio/Radar waves could be 'bent' around the Earth's surface thus increasing detection time from 4-12 minutes of ICBMs heading our way. Apparently it was a relay station......

The remains of this station is on The Foxhall Road close to the junction of Bell Lane, Foxhall/Kesgrave

There is now a museum opened up on this site and is being run by Colin Durrant. Ex Parham. Its open every Sunday Afternoon I believe. They can also help with a lot of the myths surrounding the place

Our local TV Booster aerial by Ipswich Speedway Stadium, I actually think this is within the parish of Kesgrave but so too is Foxhall Stadium so we will move it to Foxhall for the time being!
